Lauren E. Ouellette’s vision was clear: to empower children to communicate effectively through evidence-based speech therapy. In 2013, that vision took root in Charleston, South Carolina, with the founding of Spoken Word Speech Therapy. Lauren built a therapy practice dedicated to unlocking each client’s potential. As her commitment grew, so did Spoken Word, embracing the holistic needs of children with the launch of its occupational therapy division in 2021. Today, Spoken Word Children's Therapy stands as a testament to Lauren's vision, which is to empower children to communicate effectively, fully participate in occupations, and live their best lives through evidence-based therapy.
