At Spoken Word Children’s Therapy, we strive to be more than just a provider as we become a dedicated partner in each child's developmental journey. For over ten years, our Charleston-based practice has had the privilege of transforming thousands of lives through expert speech and occupational therapy that is delivered right to our patient’s doorstep.

Our team of highly skilled therapists provides personalized, evidence-based interventions at our patient’s home, daycare, or school setting which is a natural comfortable environment for children.

Our mission is to help kids communicate, thrive in daily occupations, and grow through proven therapy, and our vision is to be the premier therapy practices in South Carolina. History

In 2013, Lauren turned her passion for helping children into a reality by founding Spoken Word Children’s Therapy in Charleston. Initially focused on evidence-based speech therapy, the practice expanded in 2021 to include occupational therapy, embracing a more comprehensive approach to supporting children’s communication, development, and everyday skills. Today, Spoken Word stands as a testament to our dedicated team’s mission: to help kids communicate, thrive in daily occupations, and grow through proven therapy.
