Katherine Velez, OTR/L
Katie has been an Occupational Therapist for 21 years. She has worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings including early intervention, pediatric outpatient clinic, inpatient hospital, daycare and school. One of Katie’s children was diagnosed with special needs which gives her both personal and professional experience with children that have special needs. She believes her family has been her inspiration for her love and compassion of helping others as her grandmother was a nurse and her father was a pastor and head chaplain at a large pediatric hospital. Katie has lived in the south for the last 13 years, and has lived the past four of those years in Charleston. She is married with 5 children, and loves going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
