Lauren E. Ouellette, Chief Executive Officer

Lauren E. Ouellette, M.A., CCC-SLP

Lauren is a speech-language pathologist, and the Founder of and Chief Executive Officer for Spoken Word Children’s Therapy. She received her Master of Art’s degree in Communications, Sciences, and Disorders from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. She is licensed by the state of South Carolina, and Board Certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Lauren has a passion for working with and developing pediatric patients and new therapists. She believes her career path of helping others as a speech therapist was heavily influenced by her mother and father who served their community in Pensacola, Florida as a teacher and medical doctor respectively. During middle school, Lauren volunteered to assist an exceptional education teacher, and quickly discovered her desire to serve and help children with special needs. She currently serves on the South Carolina BABYNET board to ensure BABYNET is properly funded for the children of South Carolina. Lauren is married to her husband, Ian, and they have four children. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her New Orleans Saints, biking, running, and spending time with her family.
